Thailand from Above – Chachoengsao

Chachoengsao is a province of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, Chon Buri, Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Pathum Thani, and Nakhon Nayok. It has a short coastline on the Gulf of Thailand.

Pak Nam Jolo Temple is located on the bank of the Bang Pakong River and ages about 200 years old. The uniqueness of this temple is the golden Buddhist temple which is painted gold all over. Both inside and outside the chapel is magnificent and spectacular just like standing in heaven. Another highlight of the temple is passing under the main Buddha to enhance auspiciousness. It is another famous temple whoever travels to Chachoengsao has to come to visit.


Hua Suan Temple is located in Samed Nuea Subdistrict, Bang Khla District. Aninteresting landmark of this place is the
Stainless Church, which is entirely built of stainless steel. The idea of using stainless steel came from the abbot of the temple. Since the old church was already dilapidated, he wanted to build a new one that can last longer. There are many interesting things in this stainless church such as stainless steel doors and windows with gold designs and deity and Buddha images.


Phrong Akat Temple is located in Phrom Akat Subdistrict,Bang Nam Priao District. It is one of the temples that are
worshiped by many people. The highlight of this temple is the large glittering gold Phra Ubosot Maha Chedi. It is alsoconsidered a large strange chapel unlike anywhere else as it wasinspired by the Taj Mahal in India. The downstairs inside the pagoda is an open basement used to listen to sermons and dharma while the upstairs is a wide area for supporting the pagoda.
